GENERAL INFORMATION
We are delighted to welcome participants from October 15th to 17th for the 1st Pediatric ECMO Simulation Course!
Since 1989, the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Trousseau Hospital, Paris, has treated more than 30 children annually with peripheral ECMO techniques (VA or VV ECMO), indicated for refractory N-ARDS, P-ARDS, septic shocks, and cardiogenic shocks.
The mobile team, established in 2015, has transported more than 100 patients during this period from PICUs and NICUs across France and other countries.
The Trousseau Pediatric ECMO Center is proud to feature nationally and internationally recognized leaders and expertise in ventilation, neuromonitoring, hemodynamics, and microcirculation. We are committed to providing cutting-edge intensive care for our young patients.
Since 2022, we have collaborated with La Pitié Hospital to develop the Pediatric ECMO Course. This training covers neonatal and pediatric ECMO topics, including techniques, indications, complications, management, and procedures, enriched by simulation training sessions.
This year, we are excited to offer an exclusive three-day Pediatric/Neonatal ECMO simulation training session, aligned with ELSO training recommendations. Participants will delve into ECMO scenarios essential for bedside management through serious games, ECMO manikin scenarios, hands-on experience, and interactive discussions.
We look forward to welcoming you to Paris, our fantastic and world-famous city, in October 2025!
See you very soon!

Head Director of the Trousseau Pediatric and Neonatal ECMO Center
